In light of recent breaking news we had to devote a little of our blog to the most beautiful couple in the world – Angelina and Brad. They have finally given in to the requests of their 6 children and gone all traditional on us.

After seven years together, Brad Pitt has officially told the world he is set to marry Angelina Jolie. His manager Cynthia Pett-Dante said, “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

A further statement has been issued from a rep for Robert Procop, the Beverly Hills-based jeweller who designed the ring; “I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt,”

36-year-old Angelina was photographed wearing the ring on Wednesday April 11th during a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries, which she attended alongside Brad and their son Pax.

“Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a year-long collaboration with Robert. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina‘s hand,”
the statement added. “Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specialty cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”

Angelina has long been a fan of Robert‘s jewels. The two previously collaborated on “The Style of Jolie” jewellery line and she has donned his baubles at red carpet events.

Earlier this year, Brad hinted a wedding was a possibility. “[Getting married] means something to [the kids]. We will someday, we will. It’s a great idea. ‘Get mommy a ring.’ ‘OK, I will, I will,’” he told CBS News.

Rumour has it that the nuptials will take place at the couple’s famous Chateau Miraval in France, where construction of a chapel and function area has allegedly been going on for months.
Here at Mr and Mrs magazine and the Wellington Wedding Show we are over the MOON with the news that these two hotties will soon be man and wife! We can’t wait for the wedding and vow to bring you all the details as soon as Brad and Ange say “I do”.

The last year has been one hell of a ride and we are so grateful for the love you have shown us here at the Wellington Wedding Show and Mr and Mrs Magazine.

As the eagerly anticipated Wellington Wedding Show draws closer – (29th April at TSB Arena) and the 2nd magazine is almost ready for publication, we are getting increasingly excited to show you what we have up your sleeve this time around. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did creating it! Our amazing team – Editor Paula Bevege, Stylist Katie Bevege and the team at Graphic Solutions have worked their cute little butts off to make it look even more amazing than the first edition. And that’s saying something!

Easter is a time of festivity and giving thanks. So that’s what we’d like to do – celebrate with you and thank you for your support. It’s also a time of relaxation and reflection. We’d like to wish you a restful and happy break, regardless of whether that entails curling up on your couch at home, or a wee jaunt to somewhere fabulous. And of course with Easter being synonymous with fertility and new life, it’s also a great time to get married or start planning a wedding. Tuesday the 27th March was a normal day for most of Wellington, but for the crew here at Mr and Mrs Magazine it was anything but ordinary. For it was the day we held our highly anticipated photo shoot for our upcoming issue – out on 29th April at the Wellington Wedding Show and available thereafter. Let me tell you, it’s gonna be amazing!

Paula Bevege, our fabulous Editor who has years of event planning and thousands of weddings under her belt, wanted to deliver something extraordinary with this shoot. And her goal certainly came to fruition with a team that shares her vision and passion. In staying loyal to Wellington designers and with incredibly unique styling, this shoot was not what you’d expect. There was tons of colour, oodles of imagination, movement galore and chemistry to the max. Our models, Ben and Elizabeth from Kirsty Bunny Management, certainly brought the goods! Armed not only with dazzling good looks but plenty of style and grace, these two proved to be good sports and fun to be around all day long.

The team worked tirelessly primping, preening and making sure the light, the settings, the outfits and the poses were all perfect. It’s incredible how much effort from so many different talented people goes into one single frame, but in the end – it’s more than worth it! The results are simply stunning. And we had a hell of a lot of fun along the way.

Carl and Joni from Salute took care of all the hair and make-up, and boy did they do a good job. Each outfit had its own unique and totally fabulous look. I am totally in awe of how fast they can work and still end up with such flawless results. I sure wish I had Carl and Joni there to get me ready each morning!

Jenny and Larissa from Fineline Photography shot all the awe-inspiring images that you will soon get to see firsthand. They were utter professionals, and all I can say is that any bride and groom would be very lucky to get a team as skilled as Larissa and Jenny to photograph their wedding.

The talented Katie Bevege provided the numerous tasteful bouquets of sumptuous blooms. We were so lucky to have such pretty flowers for the photo shoot, and even luckier to get to take them home at the end of the day! The stunning red carnations from the Ziggurat frames are now proudly displayed in my kitchen.

And we certainly wouldn’t have gotten the results we did without the help and support of some of the most amazing suppliers. We take our hats off to Alison Blain, Helen Forster, Deryn Schmidt, Sophie Voon, Ziggurat, Westfield Queensgate and Frank Casey– who all allowed us to use their glorious designs, creations and products to create the stunning looks for our beautiful models.

Erskine, the gracefully ageing queen resting elegantly in her historic little hideaway, provided the striking backdrop for our shoot. And as her majestic doors will be closing once and for all in the very near future, this photo spread pays homage to all those that have come before and the ghosts of yesteryear that are ever present in all the nooks and crannies of this incredible building.
