The Met Ball is known in fashion circles as “The Oscars of Fashion” and it really shows. Everyone steps out looking gorg, glam and glittery. Primped and preened, not a hair out of place, all of Tinseltown’s finest go the extra mile. Who really knows what the Met Gala is actually for, all we know is that it is one divine scroll of hot dresses and beautiful ladies and gents on parade. Who caught our eye this time? Here’s a few of our faves…

1. She is simply divine, no matter what she does. Whether it be pushing her girls on a swing at the park, or glowing like an Oscars statue herself, Jessica Alba is ravishing in Diane von Furstenberg.

2. Leighton Meester learnt a thing or two off her alter-ego Blair Waldorf. This Emilio Pucci is simply radiant on her! Love!

3. All of these ladies were dressed by Stella McCartney. All of them look ah-may-zing! Team Stella all the way!

4. Ok, so it’s not a “gown” and it doesn’t scream “ball”, but it is sexy, fierce and she looks drop.dead.gorgeous. Of course we are talking about supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Oh yeah, and the dress is Balmain.

5. Because she is Carrie Bradshaw she can pull of “the gowniest gown” of them all. Certainly nothing is under-done here, everything screams “occasion” and making a “statement”. And because she will forever be queen of fab, she can do no wrong. Oscar de la Renta must be very proud indeed!

6. Besides the slightly saggy upper bodice, this dress is simply beautiful on Bradley Cooper’s main squeeze, Suki Waterhouse. Pink and frilly? Sure, we’ll take a nice big scoop of that breathtaking Burberry creation! British fairytale glamour at its best.

7. Simple, stylish and sophisticated. Rachel McAdams departs old school glamour and goes modern in Ralph Lauren. We love the colour with her beautiful hair. Very sleek and minimalist.

8. And now we go French – Marion Cotillard looks très magnifique in Christian Dior Couture. Voila!

9. Time for some couples – and Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively take the cake by a mile. Could these two be any hotter? Blake dazzling us in Gucci, of course.

10. Last but not least, no party is complete without Les Beckhams. Victoria stunning left right and centre -with David in tow, wearing her own design, a white Victoria Beckham. Applause!

BUT WAIT – there’s more! Stop the press, hold your horses. One late entry. Who? Why the one and only Miss Minogue of course! Love her always, but in Marchesa – well she’s simply stunning!
