Those that know me know how much I love Dockside. Always have, always will. I have spent many a sunny Christmas lunch on the gorgeous deck and enjoyed special family dinners cosily tucked upstairs. But there’s even more to this little gem than meets the eye. Dockside is not only one of Wellington’s top restaurants; it also doubles as one hell of a wedding venue. And it’s no gamble, if you’ve tried the food you will know that your guests will love the cuisine as much as you do, and you can go forward confident in your selection – particularly because Dockside’s reputation precedes it. You know the place, the people and the menu, so there is no going out on a limb and being afraid of making the wrong choice. If anything the choice is extremely simple.

Dockside offers a stunning outdoor area ideal for taking photographs as well as basking in the sunshine – all whilst taking in the spectacular views and sipping champagne of course! Very much the sort of thing you’d expect to see in the French Rivera, but it’s all right here on our fabulous little doorstep. The bar is big and the area lends itself very well to live entertainment and dancing. There are also other options for weddings such as the private room and the upstairs area, Dockside can cater to whatever your needs and wants are. With its super central city location and fun yet elegant atmosphere, Dockside is an obvious choice for the chic, modern bride and groom. Hey, you could even be super inventive and arrive by boat or helicopter; here on the waterfront anything is possible. You can make your memories the way you want them to be. We heart you Dockside!
