In light of recent breaking news we had to devote a little of our blog to the most beautiful couple in the world – Angelina and Brad. They have finally given in to the requests of their 6 children and gone all traditional on us.

After seven years together, Brad Pitt has officially told the world he is set to marry Angelina Jolie. His manager Cynthia Pett-Dante said, “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

A further statement has been issued from a rep for Robert Procop, the Beverly Hills-based jeweller who designed the ring; “I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt,”

36-year-old Angelina was photographed wearing the ring on Wednesday April 11th during a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries, which she attended alongside Brad and their son Pax.

“Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a year-long collaboration with Robert. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina‘s hand,”
the statement added. “Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specialty cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”

Angelina has long been a fan of Robert‘s jewels. The two previously collaborated on “The Style of Jolie” jewellery line and she has donned his baubles at red carpet events.

Earlier this year, Brad hinted a wedding was a possibility. “[Getting married] means something to [the kids]. We will someday, we will. It’s a great idea. ‘Get mommy a ring.’ ‘OK, I will, I will,’” he told CBS News.

Rumour has it that the nuptials will take place at the couple’s famous Chateau Miraval in France, where construction of a chapel and function area has allegedly been going on for months.
