A letter in the mail

I love receiving an invitation in the mail! Not only is it exciting to be invited to something, it is having something that is not a bill in your letterbox. Something beautifully designed in a gorgeous envelope. I have to admit I am a stationary nut ,one of my favourite shops is Kikki K and Madeleine is following in my footsteps with her love for everything at Smiggle. I collect beautiful gift cards and wrapping paper and have more notebooks than I could fill in a lifetime. When we re-launched the Wellington Wedding Show in June it was very important to me that all our guests received a stylish invitation in the mail. Craig and the Graphic Solutions team did an amazing job with the design to give everyone a hint of our new look without revealing our new logo. I even had personalised postage stamps made by NZ Post, these have been a huge hit with stamp collectors all over New Zealand. Almost everyone commented on the invitation’s and stamp in their RSVP, they certainly created the buzz we wanted and made each guest feel really special. At the launch everyone received a gorgeous white folder with our new logo embossed on the front, I love embossing! We tied small black felt decorations with our theme images, a heart, the word DREAM and a bride and groom. How you present your business is important to your clients. It says to them, “you are important to us” and weddings are much the same.

Stationery is a huge part of every wedding. It allows you to really personalise your look and style and add the wow factor. Your invitations are really the start of our whole wedding style and set the tone of your big day. They also start the excitement and anticipation for your guests. We have some fantastic options for stationary in Wellington and one of those companies is Cocoa Berry. We are very excited to welcome them to our 30th October Show. Cocoa Berry are a sister duo design team who believe in creating beautiful, fresh wedding stationary that not only sets the tone and theme for your big day, but speaks of you as a couple. They are based in Wellington and Auckland, but work with clients all over the world. They have a large online “off the rack” section and also produce a “tailor-made” design. They tell me they love attending wedding shows as it is a great chance to meet with the brides and grooms, to discuss options personally. It is also a perfect time to see their stationery in the flesh and get to touch and feel the products, as stationery is such a tactile thing.

The wedding season is fast approaching, I hope you receive a letter in the mail soon!
